Dr. Javier Alonso

MD PHD PA

Dr. Alonso was born in Bilbao, Spain and came to the United States as a cardiovascular surgeon. He completed his board certification in general surgery at the University of Missouri and his cardiothoracic board certification at the University of California – San Diego. He worked with world renowned physicians in California such as Dr. Leonard Bailey at Loma Linda University where he worked with the multidisciplinary pioneering team to bring infant heart transplantation to reality. After years of dedicating time to training and research, he moved to Texas and opened his own Vein & Vascular practice and later founded Oceana Luxe Medspa.

He has dedicated his life to improving blood flow to arteries and veins throughout the body. As a founder of the treatment of venous insufficiency, Dr. Alonso uses minimally invasive techniques to treat varicose veins. He is passionate about helping patients feel better and overcome their symptoms. Getting rid of painful and unsightly varicose veins not only helps patients feel better, but it also ultimately improves their quality of life.

He leads of team of licensed medical aestheticians and register nurses specializing in medical aesthetic treatments such as CoolSculpting, Laser Therapies and Advanced Injections. He is constantly educating himself and his staff on the latest technologies to present the local community with medically proven results regarding cosmetic and aesthetic concerns.

During his spare time, Dr. Alonso enjoys the beach, long walks and eating many different types of seafood.

Michelle Bauer

SPA Director

Michelle brings a unique perspective to Oceana Luxe Medspa. With over 40 years as a registered nurse, her expertise encompasses many critical care applications including adult and infant postop cardiac surgery, adult post op surgical critical care, bedside dialysis in acute care and infant heart transplantation coordinator.

Her attention to detail and desire to serve the health care industry make her a natural fit with the aesthetic world she has directed for the last 10 years.
